Today was my first day trying CVS and Walgreens (I got the CVS card awhile back). CVS was out of the things I would have bought. Walgreens had many of the things, thou.
I ended up spending forty six bucks at Walgreen's. After manufacturer's and store coupons and so on, my final cost was twenty seven dollars. On top of that, I got a four dollar and a three dollar "Walgreen's Bucks" to use on my next purchases. And then on top of THAT a bout four of them will end up being free with the Walgreen rebate, that is the whole price off.
Right about now I am smacking myself in the head for not starting this stuff earlier. I have decided that anytime anything will end up free, I will get it. If I don't use it, I can donate it to the shelter at no cost to me.
Also checked out my local Kroger. They have a deal where if you buy ten different items from a very long list, you get five bucks back. Its good till the 15th. I am going to order some corresponding coupons on Monday and do some serious Pantry stocking.
All and all a good day.
