Saving a Little Here, Making a Little There

On the savings side, I've decided now that darling daughter is on her own, I will get rid of Netflix. I will also get rid of the two premium channels we've had for the last year. I rarely use the dvd player in truth. If I want to watch a movie I will wait till it comes to free on demand, or pay for it and know I am paying the three dollars for it. Between them this is a forty dollars saving a month. I still have a regular blockbuster membership and the library if I need more.

In other areas, I saw that Best Buy has their fifty dollar I tunes gift certificates on sale for forty bucks. I was going to pick it up in the store but then I saw that there was free shipping, and if I got it in store I would have to pay Texas sales taxes. I went through the my points portal, so I made a few point there as well.

I also had a temporary flash. I can order from gift certificates.com using free shipping codes. I also either make points towards gift cards or get cash from cashbaq. Gift certificates.com has GCs for CVS. Since my blood pressure scrip is $40 a month alone, I am simply spending money I would normally spend and making either points or getting money back. I love it when that happens.

  1. Great stacking!I assume you buy them using a rewards credit card too?
